Before each lesson
Review your assignment, check the weather, confirm your aircraft and instructor schedule, bring your logbook, and arrive early enough for briefing. Prepared students make better use of aircraft and instructor time.
Documents and records
Keep your photo ID, medical certificate when applicable, pilot certificate if issued, logbook, endorsements, and written test records accessible. International students should also keep passport, visa, and AFSP documents current when applicable.
Training communication
Use staff, instructors, and the scheduling system to resolve schedule changes, aircraft questions, maintenance status, billing questions, and lesson preparation before the day of flight whenever possible.
