Preparation before flight
Students are expected to review weather, aircraft documents, performance, route planning, and lesson goals before flight. Instructors reinforce the habit of making decisions before pressure builds.
Aircraft and dispatch awareness
Aircraft status, squawks, inspections, and dispatch readiness must be respected. If an aircraft, weather condition, or student readiness item is not acceptable, the right decision is to pause and resolve it.
Training judgment
Aviation safety is not only a checklist item. TFA emphasizes personal minimums, go/no-go decisions, workload management, communication, and the discipline to discontinue a lesson when conditions call for it.

- Ask questions early when uncertain
